Mohammed Yousuf is posted as Director General of Department of Agricultural Marketing since March 10, 2019.
Born on December 16, 1962 in Chattogram, Mohammed Yousuf joined in Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration) cadre, (8th Batch) in 1989. He worked in wide range of government positions in his long illustrious career of field administration as Assistant Commissioner, Assistant Director of Local Government, Upazilla Nirbahi Officer.
Along his long career in Finance division, he directly involved and contributed to implement the regular publication of “ Monthly Macro Fiscal Update, Monthly Fiscal Report, Socio Economic Progress Report, Macro Economic Policy Statement, Budget Speech. He was also contributed to develop bilateral relationship between Bangladesh and U.K when was Second Secretary, Bangladesh High Commission, U.K.
He also served in the most important ranked of field administration to Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh as a Deputy Commissioner of Patuakhali.
Mohammed Yousuf has also working experience in designing and implementing Water resources Development & management policy, Sustainable Water Resources Action plan, Development Project under Annual Development Programme (ADP). He worked in Economic Relations Division to settle foreign credit, grant between Bangladesh and South Korea, India, China.
Apart from his long career in field administration, Mohammed Yousuf has worked in Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Industries, Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources, Ministry of Public Administration,
Mohammed Yousuf holds an M.Sc.in Economics from the University of London, UK and MSS (Economics) from University of Chittagong. In addition, he attended many professional training courses in Local and international level. Some of the highlights are local training includes BCS Orientation Course, Special Foundation Training Course, Law & Administration Course, Training on Budgeting & Accounting System (TIBAS), Managing at the TOP, Macro-Fiscal Forecasting & Analysis, Advance Course for Administration & Development (ACAD), Senior Staff Course (SSC). Foreign Training Course includes Promotion of Small & Medium Enterprise, Multi Country Study Mission on Logistics Systems, Products Protection Engineering on Logistics, Capacity Building Prog on Need Assessment, Monitoring, Evaluation & Info, The 1st Middle Manager Course on the Public Administration, ICT policy Manager Course, SAARC Special Training Economic Development Strategy, Financial Programming and Policies, Macro Economic Diagnostics, Professional Development Program. He visited United Kingdom (U.K), South Korea, Japan, India, Singapore, USA, Australia and Schengen countries for his Professional Training, Seminar, workshop and other Government purposes.
